No time to spare

All weekend I've been attending an intensive couple of sessions with some well known photographers trying to get some tips.

Les Walkling, Andrew Chapman, Jaime Murcia & Michael Silver.

On the way home I went Fungus hunting and I'm adding to the storeys of the Fairy house...

Mid-Winter from Dawn to Dusk

Out early this morning to catch the mid-winter sunrise.  Unfortunately it was a very clear day with no feature clouds so the image was a little ordinary & it was -2C.  A little cooler in the balloon according to the radio messages

However there were a fair few other images to be taken with a selection below from dawn to dusk.

And thank you to my "brave" teenage daughter who chose to come with me and didn't complain any more than I did...

The last image is a little over exposed and I need to work on these shots but was attempting to get a nice silhouette of an iconic Aussie eucalyptus framing the moon.

And a week later

I didn't get out on the forth day of the weekend, an old vice came to play and I "wasted" a whole day.

But a week later and a sunny Saturday had me searching close to home for some images.

The afternoon sun was just in the right place to capture some tree sap and there were a few other things to capture too.

Sunday

Sunday found me wandering around an old campsite which id being replanted and given back to the woods.  Of course nature is doing some reclaiming of it's own.

Sportless Saturday

Overcast and flat was the best way of describing the weather and light today.  Time to head for the trees and streams to get a few pictures.  The streams are all flowing well and there's colour in the moss again.  The damp of early winter is time for the fungi to bloom.

Friday, a good day not to work

Long weekend, throw the camera in the car, drop the kids off for school and wander back home through the lanes and byways between the train station and home.

The early morning sun was breaking through the clouds, the warmth where it reached the ground creating a haze in the cold fresh morning air which captured the suns rays.

On my wanderings I disturbed a small group of roo's, nice to know they're so close to home.

There were 992 page views before I hit publish, this post should bring up the 1,000 however the aim of this blog was not to get page views it was to motivate me to go and take more photo's (and post somewhere other than Facebook. It's nice to know others are looking at (and sometimes liking) the images I take.

Thank you

I'm going to try to take pictures each day over the weekend.
